Wedbush Securities – New Advisor Marketing Manual

Wedbush Securities ’ Wealth Management Division serves clients through nearly 100 financial advisor office locations across the United States. The Wedbush Marketing Department provides our advisors with a full range of marketing support tools to help them connect with both potential and existing clients. However, one challenge the team faces is orienting advisors with our capabilities, and prompting them to be proactive in their marketing efforts.

The Marketing team realized that the first few months after an advisor joins the firm is the ideal timeframe to showcase our capabilities. To that end, the New Advisor Marketing Manual was created, with sections dedicated to each major capability area; advertising and traditional marketing, public relations, and digital marketing. The Manual features a practical step- by -step timeline for getting started with goals for each week.

The Marketing team also wanted to give advisors reference points for how our capabilities can be used. From a client standpoint, the Manual contains a “ client communication journey ” – showing each marketing touchpoint with a potential client, and how advisors can continue building meaningful connections with existing clients using the tools available. From an internal standpoint, the Manual showcases a scenario of a “ model advisor ” with each member of his team maximizing marketing tools to reach clients.

Since the Manual was implemented, every new advisor that has joined the firm has taken steps to build their marketing presence.
